I recovered my PC so it doesn't have any existing information like my Game Maker Pro. So does anyone know how I can recover my code?

P.S. Move this if it's not in the right category, haven't posted here in FOREVER.
Frederick
It should be in the email you got when you registered.

I bought the license probably over a year ago. I don't have the email still.

You should have atleast saved the data somewhere...
Anyway, if you bought it...Say activate and it should say lost your code or something.
Go there type in your email address and they will send the key to you. Easy as pie.

zappy77, he just said he doesn't have the email.

I'm really not sure what else you can do. I suppose you could try and contact Softwrap explaining to them the details and leave them your name. When you paid for Game Maker, you will have gotten an email from your paypal account or something (If you payed by cash, well I don't know..), send them a copy as proof.

No I mean he can have softwrap resend the email.
Was it a bit unclear? If so I'm sorry, what I meant to say, in short, while trying to activate GM you have an option (Incase you lose your registration key) for softwrap to resend the email they originally sent you. If that doesn't work, you should contact softwrap.
I did it a month ago when I lost the data on my PC, I waited a few hours for the email, but eventually got it.

So basically softwrap sends the email to an email address that you can't remember? O__O Wouldn't you have to know the email address first in order to check it? Correct me if I'm wrong..

You're wrong.

The original poster never said anything about forgetting the email address, nor not using the same address any more.

What he said was; he no longer has the email that contained the registration key, any more.

As far as I'm concerned, this sense of entitlement from careless people is ridiculous. If you have something of value, at least make a little effort to save it, print it, email it to a secondary off-site email. What is it with losing something, and expecting the vender to keep supplying you with your lost or forgotten information.

This could be taken two way then. Either you lost the email, or you lost the email. Email could mean the message or it could mean the actual address.

Sorry, he lost me there for a sec. O__O

If you dont have the original email, request another email with the code...
I've reset my computer countless times, and they have always been quite helpful when dealing with registration problems (as long as you email them from the email you registered with)
