Well, brilliant game. I really liked the entire idea.

But, you may want to rethink it being done.

There's a few things that bothered me.

The bright flash after each attack could go. Just make it fade in from like a bit less white of a screen. I ended up getting stuck because I was in a battle where I couldn't flee and neither of us could damage the other. Make fleeing a much higher chance, as I was never able to do it. Also, I didn't like the idea of there being no inn. And lastly, maybe have an intro, so that the player has an idea of what he's doing.

Pretty good game, but mabe you could add some scenery graphics to the battles. Like maybe have a background that shows where the battle is taking place.
