Super-Cyborg

Finished Game:

Story:
Super-Cyborg is a Platform shooter with a large story.
Basic story: About 25 light years from earth there are 2 planets, the Goran planet, and the Mocodin planet.
The Mocodin aliens are fierce enemies of the Gorans, though the Gorans did nothing to cause this.
A couple Mocodin aliens go to the goran planet, somewhere. And let loose a huge army of Greenish-Yellowish Globs
from inside the Goran planet. The Goran government then constructs a Super-Cyborg to help fight against the
ugly creatures (Might be pretty to some people). The Cyborg will also crush any resistance from the Mocodins!
(Whew!).

Controls:
A, and D for movement, also W to jump. E to continue text or to activate
machinery. Q to swap weapons, or to set down your weapon. Use the mouse to aim
your current weapon, left click to fire, right click to throw a frag grenade, F4 for full screen(recommended), and escape to exit to the main menu.

This is a great game, i really like the variation on the enemys, and the levels them self. Every level is made with love to platfrom shooters, (i know you have played alot of them). This is also a great example on how to make a great platform shooter.

I also really like the physics when you die... Everyone who likes platform shooters should play this game, NOW!

Also, I reccomend playing in Full Screen (F4 to activate). Thats all, hope you have fun!

If only you didn't have iji as competition haha.

Well, it needs work. The shooty part is somewhat ok, but you can usually just throw a grenade and everything dies. Too bad the shooty parts are so often interrupted by pretty bad storytelling.
Sorry to sound so harsh. The engine and graphics are all fine by me but there wasn't enough to keep me plowing through the game.

Im not sure what you mean, Norgonq...

Any other people played this game?
Wow! My other games which are not quite as good as this one have more comments than this.

Nice to see you improving, I can tell you drew inspiration from Iji smile.gif

The gameplay wasn't very innovative but it was still entertaining. There were a few bugs and some improvements that can be made to it. First off, the blobs or globs or whatever get stuck in the wall at points and my bullets also go right through them. Also, when I find a weapon on the ground, there's no way to pick it up if I already have two weapons. If there is, I apologize but you should remind the player whenever ones in reach. Conversations should be skippable too. The graphics were a little weird. The sprites and foreground were consistent and looked pretty nice but the backgrounds detracted from them. Sounds were good, didn't annoy me. And the story seemed like it was going to be interesting but I haven't had time to complete it yet.

Anyways, a pretty nice game. I'd say 7/10.

Cheers,
