VERSION 2.00

Hi, my name is Spi.

Spi's Mission Version 2 is a huge game project I am working on, making up to three parts as a whole action adventure game. It is a fan game based on http://serebii.net - one of the most popular Pokemon information site out there on the web. The game's idea originated from a fan comic I used to work on as a member of SPPF, when I was only 11 year olds. I was introduced to Game Maker at the age of 12, and have made a couple of games through learning by myself (you can visit http://davisphan.webs.com for those games). When I became 14, I released the game of Spi's Mission V1 (which can be downloaded from the host site) then I decided to work on a greater project around November 2007, which was Spi's Mission Version 2. This is not any other ordinary Game Maker game, because it is a massive contribution of my entire knowledge on programming with Game Maker 7 Lite. In two years of development, I finally released the first part which is Spi's Mission Version Serebii 2 Eastside.

The engine of the whole game is quite sound in programming, very clean in scripted names but most of my work come from using smilies instead of particular scripting. Graphics are done through website sources or from my photoshop, giving it great details in animation and image. The plot is properly thought-out, but the real focus is on the gameplay. It has a unique action adventure RPG gameplay which can take up from four hours to a couple of days to complete, and it's only the beginning of the adventure. Strategy is also emphasized in the game, but it also requires a skill that is grown through play.

I am currently working on the second addition to all three parts of the game. So this message will be continually updated just in case I have to make a note of something. Go ahead and download the game, and remember to visit the training so you can understand the basics of the game. Post here for questions, comments, or any other type of feedback. smile.gif

Fun, and very unique game play. which I find very enjoyable. The best thing about it is it's difficulty. Games have become far too easy to compensate for children. This however, is more difficult. It's game play is sort of like a Top down shooter, however you also have special powers like being able to heal your self with a wish attack, like in pokemon. This game is based allot on Seribii, an pokemon website that supplys the best pokemon news you can get.

Currently, I'm up to the part where you are on a special vehicle called the Lance. Try it, its allot of fun.

Still, criticism time has to come.

Graphic wise, the game is a bit dark, and it's style seems like a mix of blurs and sprites. But thats the only concern. Too good of sprites hinders the progress of a good game.

The music is nice, a few remixes of some pokemon songs.
