GM109.gif Description: The 8080 Studios game launcher reads a file from the internet to retrieve the current game's code and runs it! The game changes between an hour, to weeks! So bookmark this post, or run the program often to check for the next game.
-Note that I am open to suggestions for any future games.

-Also note that this dll provides people the power to monkey with your system, if you don't understand computers very well then I understand your fear of this and will allow you to leave right now. I however will not do such thing, and if the mods would like to see the source code+web file source code then please post here or contact me via PM I will be more than glad to share with you so you can reference the url in game to the one online :]

CURRENT GAME: Hit the ball one script remake.

thanks to the maker of netread.dll!

If I may. Wouldn't updating this get tedious for you? I suggest doing some research and developing an JS, PHP, or ASM script to write a file in the programs directory that contained the game's script, then run the program to play the game. When the game is done, the program deletes the file, then closes its self.

This would allow the user to choose the game (s)he wants to play, not just whats up at the moment. And is also calls for less updating work on your part...

lol eh its not that hard really, googlepages. I have it tabbed on my browser and ive gotten used to the upload part on it, takes less than a second.

but yeah the next version i'm going to find a better way to do this all, but I figured this is a good first-step

Its nice, you should try to make more complex games, a simple hit e ball game is not catchy wink1.gif

lol yeah I will but the whole restriction is that I can only use scripts, so this means no graphics and things like that.
As I said version 2 will have a different approach, allowing graphics, chat, and more.

thanks for your input and this will be approached.

For now I will push myself to do the most I can using only code >.<

You could add the sprites you needed in bmp format, add them to the script, have the script parse its self from the images, and add them to the game, then call them, it would be tricky, but i believe this would work.

Good luck
