what is the recording fps on this thing? and what's the playback fps? and how long does it take to save the file?
gm really isn't a good tool to create screen recording tools. did you somehow miraculously solve all of the past problems?
details my friend, details!

Well, I tried it... Very sleek..but yet...
Why is everything registered only? I mean, come on.. you cant even preview the video you've taken without paying for it? I guess it was allright.. but it has too many simple features that are waaay to annoying to not have if you dont want to pay for it. I mean, come on... It won't even open up the directory to the saved video without paying for it? yeesh.
I guess it was pretty good at recording, it got about the same fps (seemingly) as the other ones I have tried, mabe a little higher, but theirs didnt have any ads. With all the tiny inconvinient little things that you have to pay for to use (I know, I'm cheap.), I'd rather just go with the other video recorders. Because really, I didnt notice anything that put it ahead of the rest, and several pay-to-use things actually made it worse.
Overall though, I do think this has great potential, but only if you remove some of the paying-limits. For those reading this, I reccommend you try it out for yourself, to see if it fits what you need.
TheShadowMoose ranks it a 3.7/5 (which will go up if some features are unlocked.)
Sorry if that seems harsh... It was a good program and all..but..well... we already have (completely) free ones made here (although the compression option was nice).

if i make it have more features on lite would it be much better,
What this doesn't have though is a mark on the video, it doesnt sam anything like:
"unregistered hypercam"
But the pro version is really cheap and its got many features. Even webcam view

Allright, I will give you that. It is a LOT cheaper then most video recorders, and I love the lack of a water mark on it, I just think that a FEW of the features in it shouldnt be registered only. Such as preview. However, you did a
great job on this, so I congratulate you for that. =P
It is better (even the lite) then most commercial recorders. (IMO) But then, my computer's pretty fast, so the fps looked similar to me. Overally it's pretty good, but it just needs a few more lite-friendly features. I'll edit my rating a little bit , you made a good point.

so ill add the preveiw feature on lite. i suppose that would make it better.
Ok so i added the preveiw function on lite. Would anything make you actually buy this software. Im not trying to sell this to you but i really want to try and get somewhere with this And trust me, the full version is pretty nice. Ask DBsoftware if you want an opinion. He's a tester.

hi my names David, im the DBSoftware (and Games) guy that Michael PW was talking about
and for all you people out there that think it isnt worht the 1.99
i assure you it is, i have tested and now own the Pro Version. And use it reguarly
It has to be one of the ebst, and most affordable, highest quality screen recorders I have ever seen. Its cheaper than all the big names:
e.g. Hypercam
ZD Soft Screen Recorder
It has many more features, e.g. Webcam, and it is best of all a display that even the smallest man, can make the mightiest thing, so before you say its not worth it, re-consider and tell yourself, ITS WORTH IT!

This doesn't seem useful to me. A good habit to do before recording video is to turn off hardware acceleration for your monitor. That will increase framerate by a lot. Unfortunately, since this is made with Game Maker, you can't turn those off, so you must suffer the low framerate.
I'll think I'll stick to my normal recorders.

Cam Studio...*cough* Its probably written in a compiled language and that means much less lag.

Dang, just what I was about to say. Still, decent screen recorder but I'll just use my free, full copy of CamStudio for my rare uses of recording
