Greetings.
I'm doing my masters thesis project and have finished the game that serves as my basis. What I am looking for now is people willing to play it and help me with gathering the data I need.

It's fairly simple really. I basically just need you to play my game for a while, e-mail me some files that the game makes automatically and then take a small questionaire about the game. I am not exactly sure what kind of computer power you will need to play it, but it's shouldn't be too bad.
If you get stuck in a tree though, you will have to blow it up to continue...

There are a few bugs with the game that I would ask you to ignore, but they should not be a hinderance to playing. There shouldn't be any game-crashing bugs smile.gif

The game can be downloaded at the link above.

And the survey can be found at:

Many thanks to anyone willing to help me out wub.gif

[Edit]
To whom it may concern.
I've changed the game to create the log as soon as you die/complete the game to prevent any confusing there may have been as to when the log is created.
Also added a note on the games autosave function that completely slipped my mind to tell people about mellow.gif
If you have completed the tutorial and die/complete the game, then if the game is restarted the tutorial is skipped, starting the player in the forest outside.

Meh. Just meh. The game was pretty bad - wall collisions sucked, no walking animation, looked like sprites were ripped...

And there was no game log like it said it would create. The folder just had the game in it.

Yes the spirites were ripped. I'm not a 2D artist.
Strange... another one that doesn't get a gamelog. That makes two that I've heard of. Demnit... Why does that only work for "most" people?!
Did you check after restarting/closing the game or while the end game screen was still up?

I closed it and checked the file again. Nothing. I did the survey though ^^
Anyways if you can't animate 2D, you still shouldn't rip. Use your own even though they aren't good. A lot of people just use boxes and blobs.

Yeah, I agree with everything the first guy said, except for the sprites. This is "Game Maker" not "Sprite Maker". Use whatever you want as long as it looks good.

And this could use some work!
Keeper32
Well like I said, this is a testing basis and not a game that's supposed to be perfect.
My timeframe to build it was limited and this is what I could do in that time.

If anyone here missed it, there are two pages to my survey.
Only roughly 60% of those who have answered have answered on both pages, so if you are among the remaining 40%, please answer both pages. It's the second page that's actually important.
