IMPORTANT

Dimensional is NOT a file management system, it is a file browser. This was already discussed with a moderator prior to posting.

Introduction

Dimensional is a file browser easily toggled by Ctrl + Alt + Shift. Dimensional will display the contents of each folder and allow you to scroll through them, open a file, jump to a higher directory, enter a new directory, or open a directory in Windows Explorer.

Controls

Dimensional's visibility is triggered by Ctrl + Alt + Shift. Hit this key combination anytime Dimensional is running and it will either gain or lose focus.
Move left and right through files using the Z and C keys. Execute a program (or enter a directory) using the X key while selecting the file/directory.
Press the S key to open a file in Explorer.
Press the Spacebar to jump up a directory.
You can alter the default starting directory by editing the data.ini file in the same folder as the executable. More information is therein.

To add Dimensional to the startup programs:

Click Start > Programs, then right click on Startup folder and choose Open.
In the Startup window, open the File menu and choose New > Shortcut.
Add the file dimensional.exe (inside the folder you downloaded).
Restart and Dimensional will start with the computer.

To remove Dimensional, delete the shortcut from the same location.

This is really useless if there's somewhat 100 files in a folder.
Skipping through every single file just isn't efficient and there are folders with much more than 100 files in them on my harddrive.

What can this thing do that the windows explorer can't?
And why would you want to stuff something that hogs large ammount of ressources into your autostart?
Just to get a downgraded explorer that eats your memory for breakfast?
I see no use for this at all.

It was more or less my way of learning about GM's file functions.

I just use it for quick navigation, it ends up being a lot faster when I have a long string of directories to go through (too many for individual shortcuts).

As for the memory usage, there's obviously nothing I can do about that in GM. I might port it to C++ eventually.
