Hi, I was just wondering what you'd want in a GM lib, so I can get ideas for the one I'm making.

No C++ is required, only GML, I can help you make a library if you want?

Ok, if it's not any trouble. I know enough GML to make a useful library, I guess. Could you show me how to make a lib?

if you use xfire, tell me.
Step1, download library maker from yoyogames.com

No, I don't have xfire, but I found out how. Thanks :3
Anyway, the new question is:
What would you want to see in a GM lib? I need some ideas of what to add in my lib.

Simplicity. All libs should have that to some degree.

My latest lib that has not been released has 3 drag'n drop actions with over 100 lines of code, just for a platform engine.
NEVER RELEASE LIBS, PEOPLE CAN STEAL YOUR CODE.
MAKE A GEX INSTEAD.
simplicity is the key to sucess

Ok, but what actions would you want to see in a gex?

E-asy to use and target beginners.
A-dvanced users don't wanna see ya
S-omething that anyone can use.
Y-ou might wanna make a platform engine lib

No thanks, I'm not too good with platformers.
And I'm asking, specifically, what D&D actions would you want to find in a library?

Dec 18 2008, 11:33 PM
I have never known what D&D means?

Oh, i make them all the time, and I don't even know what it means, Ha ha ha
well you could make a 3D D&D library that is better than mine, mine is located here...

But what actions would you SPECIFICALLY want to see in a library? Please don't just give me a theme, I just need some specific ideas for actions.

Multilayer commands, like set up, join, connect, send data, receive data.

There already are several multiplayer libs, there would be no use in making another.

ummm...er...I don't know what else, but none of the other multilayer libs are easy to use.
