i made something small once again, this time for the tigsource commonplace book compo.
it is a short adventure/something game.

it contains some non-family-friendly stuff. so watch out i guess.

This game depressed me.

I was already a little upset before playing.

Oh well... great artistic attitude.

It was trying to be wierd. The game overall was basic. Totally based around following an object with avoding other objects, a one line code. I liked how my screen said "you're brother were raped and killed". I didn't know if that was the end of the game or not, but it stood on my screen for about a minute.

Edit: If this is one of your first games, not bad at all. It seems you are more artistic than programming inclined. I would suggest coming up with a nice game idea; that would be a recipe of something good.

What the hell's with the game's title?

Well, Fiender, a title is never appointed without a reason. Perhaps you should play the game to find out.

I know it may be a pretty difficult concept to wrap around your thick skull, but I'm sure you'll get it one day.

This guy made a game called "queer village", where at the end the player and his brother are raped and killed. There's nothing to this game but BullSh*t.

i cant beleive would think somthing like that i mean..yes good graphics but the story is ..well....not right

I was hoping to beat the game and win back the 3 minutes I spent playing. Instead there was rape.

well you can't say there wasn't some form of warning:

and there is no signs of the original post being edited later to add that warning.

I haven't played the game tought. Any game that mention rape can't be that good in my opinion...
The idea is nice. Looks preety artistical too, and I think you did a good job. But I just don't feel like downloading it, sorry...

The end was very satisfying.
The artwork and style is beautiful as well.

My personal interpretation of this is a metaphor of the struggle between human forces and human desires. You can see the same concept manifested in the progress and evolution of society; physically and psychologically.

My verdict is still out on what I think this game is about...

I haven't had much spare time to think about it right now. But I'll get back to you on it (policedanceclub).

Interesting and definitely in the 'arty' category along with some other titles. The seeming lack of other choices made me slightly disappointed however, I thought that the moral of the story would run deeper than being lured by a strange character to a house with no way of avoiding said situation. If there is 'another path', then please do tell.

Just because it seems basic doesnt mean it is stupid or just because it has something easy to programm doesnt mean it took work or anything like that, who cares if he has one line of code for the whole game?

Anyway, the end didn't vit very well in the game.
The graphics where quite good. But the music was a big annoying.

Also, I just caught the Lost in the Desert comparison. If you all wanted to know, there's a 1-year aniversary sequel coming out sooner or later...

So, there was a castle shape with a face on it, some arrows, and a witch-looking thing who told me about a cottage. Was there anything else to it? I had no idea what to do.

Talk to the witch, then make it follow you to the faced castle.

The word for this thing is really a composition. It can't really be a game by definition because there are no choices. It's like a movie, in that you either choose to keep playing or not, but not HOW to keep playing.

I can't really say that I understand what on earth the title has to do with this. If anything, the context of this program makes it mildly offensive. Forget the fact that "village" makes no sense.

Note that I do think games can be artistic in nature, but this didn't really show it. Weird doesn't automatically qualify as art. It didn't reveal anything about people, or the human condition, or society, etc. Some sick people rape. Great moral there. I don't really like this thing because it has a minimal gaming element, and a minimal artistic one. It never really makes an attempt at depth in either case. If you're going to be artistic, it should actually be emotionally revealing, not just shock people with a forced rape situation.

i think everyone needs to calm down about the rape, havent any of you seen American History X? Remember the prizon scene? Sure, messed up, but its not real. I havent played this yet so i have no where to judge, however, i am downloading right now and about to so i will post what i think about the game soon.
