Actually it's made for hardcore 2D platformer fans, and art-game fans. I fear it may be far too difficult for younger kids (though it isn't nearly as tough as my Jumper games).
I think you'll find that the graphical style is very much on purpose and fits the game quite well if you play the demo.

its a great game but the graphics are bad if u compare it with 3d games like world of warcraft and halo. but this may be one of the best platform games made in gamemaker.
i would rate it 9/10 but could deserve a 10/10, haven't played the full yet.

of coarse it will look bad compared to halo or world of warcraft they are made by proffesionals with whole teams of artists and coders.

Comparing 2D pixel art to 3D models makes you look stupid.
Atleast now you can focus on Jumper 3 <_< ... >_>

Awesome!
I just spent a couple of hours playing this. It's one of those games that you want to keep playing to find out what's in the next room. The minigames are a great distraction from the platforming and exploring, a really nice addition.
I'll definitely be spending a lot more time on this game, it's great!

hehe so are you saying that 2d graphics are as good as 3d lol they are both graphics only that 3d is more advanced. fine if 2d and 3d are equal but 2 diffirent types of graphics so why not making 2d games instead of the complicated 3d graphics.
btw don't make this topic closed for calling ppl stupid...

(on topic)
this is a game that should be worth more than a dollar but sound track and game for 20$ is a fair price.

It shoots 2/3 fireballs, there's 4 vertical 'places' to be. Simply jump to avoid the fireballs, after every 5 attacks or so, it'll shoot one blue waterball. Jump to thouch it, and you'll reflect it against the boss.
Superb game, it's real entertaining though sometimes lacks saving/loading points and explanation. Would definately buy it if I could get paypal working.

Well I love the look and polish of it, but I can't really get into games where most of the challenges and 'action' require jumping correctly, etc.
If it were more up my alley, so to speak, it's definitely a game I could see myself donating for. Once again, I really love the style!

How about an interactive gameplay video? A demo? I have that!
Seriously though, I don't think this game is very suited to videos, it is too much based on discovery and atmosphere. Just play the demo!

The graphics are not "bad". They are unique and wonderful, it's impossible to compare them to regular pixel art or 3D graphics - can you compare an apple with an orange? No, you can't.
While I'm no good at this sort of stuff, and I haven't gotten to play it for long, it definitely feels top notch. Exploration is pretty fun, and the game itself should be considered a masterpiece in an artistic sense. A good alternative to ripping your hair out (in joy, of course) of playing the Jumper series.

Glad to see that you finally finished this, YMM... I'll have to give it a try again!
To everyone who says the graphics are bad, please - try to understand that not every game needs to have hyper-realistic visuals in order to be stylistic and effective.

More advanced in some ways, less advanced in others. There's a certain charm about 2D and the definition of sprites and tiles that 3D has always lacked, and is one reason I far prefer 2D graphics. And personally I prefer the graphics of this game to dull clichéd looking crap like World of Warcraft and Halo. Feels more imaginative and creative and hey least I ain't gotta be messing around with camera angles all the damn time.
Anyways great job with this game. It's got a very immersive game world with a lot of character to it helped mostly by the 'simple' graphics and the great choice of sound and music. I find the gameplay a tad tough myself but it's a keeper for sure. When I get my USB adaptor back off a friend I'll plug my joypad into it and have a proper go.

It's like a golden oldie what name i don't remember (that, where is also egg). I loved that game, because it was SOOO good. You're game is also good! 8/10, because that golden oldie was better

But you're game is just awesome. I think, that here isn't anything extremely hard to make in system? But so big world. That takes a kinda much time and i think, that i wouldn't do never something so big like it is. Keep going! But i don't buy full version, because i don't buy games usually. I'm better looking for any other game what is kinda like this and one thing more: i collect money for buying G25.
huh?

personally i loved it, i think the graphics complement the gameplay extremely well. the controls are easy to use and there is always the compulsion to see what is in the next room. nice one=]

This game is cool. And it looks great. 2D or 3D doesn't matter, it's all in the style. The game seems to play well to boot. You'll be getting a buck or two from me any day now. It's really a cheap price for a game of this calibre

This game is one of the best in the GMC. It is original and addicting.
The graphics aren't bad, because all the sprites come together like a jigsaw puzzle.
Too bad i can't buy it

This must be one of the most Awesome games ever created in GM!
The graphics are great, and the gameplay is good too. THe difficulty on each setting is a good curve, and even if you finish it on one difficulty setting, it's still interesting enough to do it on another!
I'll give a more detailed review on the HC.

Go to the menu and then the options tab. Here you can choose between using the keyboard or a gamepad. Both can be configured to your preferred layout.

Amazing game, amazing graphics, amazing polish. This game has come so far since the first demo, I can't believe your only asking a dollar. Great job.

I've followed this game for many a year, and i fully beat the demo. You see, I'm sort of disappointed thats its shareware, not because in anyway its a bad deal but because I'm a casual computer gamer and i don't have a paypal account, and mostly because i played through the demo 2 times due to updates, but from what the demo had I must say its a great game, I defiantly will play it when you decide to release it free.
Until then, i wait for Flail, and tally mark the days until Jumper 3
EDIT: Looking back at the posts, I'm really disappointed with the GMC
First off, graphics are nothing! there just eye candy, some of my favorite games have terrible graphics. But thats not this case, because this games graphics are nice and stylishly fit the game, if you are looking for anything remotely realistic, cel shaded 3d figures, or just paintshop pro backgrounds, then you need to leave the GMC because thats not what its about. I think people are pissed off because YMM used MS paint for his sprites but they look good and are stylish, and they have to use expensive complicated programs and no one likes there games anyway.
