To all of you out there that love rpg's and don't like this game... you are all hypocrites! This is the ABSOLUTE BEST rpg game made with gamemaker. The controls are easy to use, and not buggy. The storyline, as twisted as it gets, is awesome and well thought out. The music mysteriously draws you deeper and deeper into the game, while at the same time freaking you out of your mind!
This game will keep you on your toes, and mind on edge. May the coffee live on forever in our minds, hearts and especially in our mouths!
Disclaimer: You may not feel the rush of emotion as stated above unless you are playing this game at 1-2 in the morning as i have done. It really adds to the game, and presses your mind to the max!
one question... what's with the guy saying "a biscuit! A Biscuit! My kingdom for a Biscuit!" ??? Albeit that i only spent 15 hours playing the game, i couldn't figure out if he was special...

Hooray, I finally beat it! I got the bad ending... I forgot to open a bank account with the HGA. I got a 21% commision rate when I did open it, then beat the final boss again and got the good ending. Thanks Seco for that, I couldn't figure out how to beat the legs.

Although I disagree on the pyramid boss being incredibly difficult. It is in fact quite easy if you know what to do.

I love this game and I'm glad you made it. The puzzles are original and intuitive. Best of all they are actually diffecult, but not impossible. I hate having puzzles normally cuz they are either as easy as 1, 2, 3 or up into quantium physics. Fighting is fast paced and fun, though more strategy in the combat would be good. Dispite what others may say, I love the music. Graphics are good, though nothing extrordinary, they were better than a hell of a lot. Story was good enough to be worth paying attention to, which I love since that like never happens. How you managed to make all of those textboxes and menus I'll never know, but it's amazing. The amont of gameplay is awesome, especaily because of the quality of it.
Overall : 10/10
Gameplay : 9/10
Graphics : 8/10
Sound : 7/10
Story : 9/10
Other than a few nitpicks, there is nothing I would change.
This is the best game made with gamemaker ever.

Can you imagine how difficult that would be? It's great as it is. Not everything has to be online.
My only complaint with this game is the appearance of the Game Information screen and the generic font used on the title screen. They give an amatuer appearance to what is otherwise a commercial (albeit SNES era) game.

Go to the water dungeon in the middle of the lake and kill the boss there.

Go north from the village till you reach the cliffs, up the top you can see a stone pedestal near the cliffs use it and you will drop your radio on it, I'll leave it up to you as to what you do next.

Um... yeah. Great game and everything, but I haven't been this pissed off in a really long time. Try thinking next time you make a boss. What do we want? A place to save so we don't have to walk through a bunch of crap just so we can get to a boss that has an attack that is indodgeable and where you get ammo about 4/5 of the time when we're gonna die in one hit. Health his a good thing on a boss. I don't need ammo when I have 50/50 bullets. That's right, I'm talking about the second boss, that damn snake.
Being so pissed earlier, I thought about giving this game a bad name, but that's not really possible. Just think: WHAT DO THE PLAYERS WANT?!?!?!? Just one object would make me happy, ONE! I WANT TO SAVE BEFORE A BOSS!!!!
Wow, it was really hard not to swear like crazy there.

If you're talking about the snake in the tunnel you fight on the AWC-400... that boss is optional, and I recommend upgrading the weapons on your craft before fighting it. If you're looking for a save point, give that you'd have to cross the overworld to get there, you must have passed at least a couple of buildings with save terminals in - try the village to the East of that room, or the lighthouse village West of there. The place you probably want to be heading next is either the first or second part of the second dungeon, which are found at the far East of the lake, and somewhere in the south-west quadrant of it, respectively. I wouldn't recommend fighting the water snake just yet. That is, if you're still playing...
Unless of course you're not talking about that boss, in which case... hmm.
QUOTE

You get the HGA lifetime membership card, which lets you play any minigame for free. To get the machinegun upgrade, you need the 4-bombs upgrade from the bomb shop, then head North at the far East edge of the lake to a mountain hut to get some metal ore. The guys who give you the AWC-400 will use it to craft a machinegun for you.

I downloaded this game a while ago, but never relay played it. Now I updated to the most recent version, and I'm having a great time playing it, but I keep getting unexpected errors. They happen at random times when I'm talking to people. Sometimes when I press the enter button to advance the dialogue, It will come up with an unexpected error, and the game will crash. This error only happens sometimes, and there doesn't seem to be a pattern at all. I tried re-downloading it, but I still get the errors.

Wow! Great game. The main menu is a bit too simplistic, the graphics are not really my taste, and the framerate display annoys me for some reason. Yeah... I knew about those save points. There still really far away, at least I know the lighthouse one is. It should be before a boss. That's how normal games work. I prefer things making since like that. You know, save, then fight. Not save, walk, walk, walk, go in a building, get on a water craft, boat, boat, watch a showing part, then fight.
Well, thanks for putting in an optional boss that brought me nothing but agony. Now that I think about it, I'd have beaten the boss if it wouldn't stop giving me ammo when I was completely full.
Make your game like a normal game (the good ones anyway). By that I mean, make it in a way it won't purposely piss you off.

Have you actually PLAYED a "normal game"? All optional bosses are hard and meant to "piss you off".
Omega Weapon in FF8, anyone? 9998 damage in one shot, bringing you down to 1HP. If that doesn't piss you off, then how will this?

Yikes. That's Final Fantasy, all their games are overly hard. I play first person shooters a lot. I've played Final Fantasy, but mostly just the ones on the hand helds (before they got overly hard).
Final Fantasy 8 is considered the hardest FF ever made. I did think clearly when typing that. I'm thinking more of Legend of Zelda and more adventure kind of games. Even most rpg mini bosses are generally pretty easy, though you usually have to beat them in order to beat the game itself.

There are three exits to this room in total - one on the right of the North face, where you come in; one on the far left which is illuminated by a ring (which disappears once you reach it), and one on the right of the South face, basically opposite the top entrance. If you've only been through one of those, try to reach the other. I'm doing this from memory so it may be a little.... wrong.

I think that's it though.

QUOTE (CulixCupric @ Aug 6 2007, 08:22 PM)
You may also be trying to reach the second exit in the darkened maze, but I'm not sure. From where you are in that image, you need to go right and find another teleporter. The entry which leads you into that doorway there comes from somewhere else and puts you just south of it in that picture.

This game is uber! I finished it a few days ago and got the good ending. Definatley the best GM game ive played. I found a glitch, sometimes in the game where you whack the ball with your sword it will give you a 0 as a score, even if you have hit the ball several times in easy mode.
Also, whats in the building west of the lodge, and whats in the building in the first village at the bottom? And (edit) the teleporter pad at the place before the pyramid dungeon where they're throwing grenades at the enemies coming out of the pit, and the staircase in the first dungeon that you can never get to

Woo! I finally finished it with no help (the ending was awesome). I got the flask too (nice and challenging boss fight. I actually lost to him more than I lost to the final boss, which was only twice, but I lost to the flask boss like 6 times). I absolutely loved the game. I mean like everything about it. The graphics match perfectly and I love the soundtrack, especially the credits music. It feels like Zelda and plays like something completely original. What more could I ask for?
EDIT: Wait, there's two endings? Well I probably should have guessed that by what the guy told me. I guess I got the bad one then. It was still awesome though.

Aug 16 2007, 02:23 PM
Ok well what you have to do is go into the area with the first turret, then run to the top off the top of the screen. Try to stay behind the gray blocks on your way up. You'll then be in an area with an entrance to a cave that's blocked off. That's the next dungeon, but you can't get in yet, so don't try. Instead, go to the left and you'll be in another turret area. Run along the perimeter and try and time it so that the turret's bullets hit the gray blocks. In the lower left corner, there should be a guy sleeping and a cart of some kind. Get in the cart, and he will wake up and unknowingly wheel you into the village.

You need to complete absolutely EVERYTHING in the game. All kryti crystals, all biomatter, complete the trading sequence, get the flask etc. It took me quite a while. I decided I would do everything before fighting the last boss, so I never saw the 'bad' ending.
