Quick couple of questions: The Reviewers Choice forum currently requires reviews submitted by regular members to be approved before being revealed. Is this still going to apply during the Review Jam? How will the Jam reviews be identified as Jam reviews as opposed to other reviews?

I think the difference is that the story in my game was about there not being much color. In other games, the lack of color was merely a side attribute, not a prime tenet of the story. These are technicalities, and you're welcome to disagree with me on them. I made the game to be open to interpretation, not be overt about anything.
And I'll be the first to admit that it wasn't as straightforward as some have done, but the entire concept of foreign is subjective. There's nothing that is universally foreign. If I'm asked to pick a theme for the next jam, I'll be selecting something more objective and clearly identifiable in a game.
I welcome the discussion, though. If my game doesn't properly qualify, I don't want to be let off the hook for that!
I've just written my review for you as I offered the winning entry one, so just waiting for approval in the Reviewers Choice forum and it should be there!
I agree that the theme foreign is something that can be widely interpreted, and what someone sees as being 'foreign' another may completely miss. Although your game may not be the "best use of theme", I don't think that it would be fair to say you didn't use the theme at all. On the other hand I thought you used the handicap fantastically, so I have no qualms with you picking the next theme ![]()

I'll be participating.
But will the event get proper attention way down in Reviewer's Choice? Naturally, the reviews themselves should be posted there. But would the discussion topic be better in Community?
Having the discussion there, is a bit like having the GMC Jam discussion in the Creations Forum.
I have to agree that I don't think the topic down in the Reviewers Choice forum will get much limelight. I saw this topic replied to on the home page and thought it was the other topic in question. If we have the discussion topic in the community forums, then hopefully with the active topics we are used to in the GMC Jams, it should often be visible on the home page (like this just was for me), and from there it should attract attention and divert it towards the Reviewers Choice forum.

It's an interesting idea which I hope will encourage people to write some good quality reviews. I think it will be interesting to see what people make of different review styles, and hopefully will breed a new generation of reviewers here who are keen to improve upon their writing technique.
I expect I'll enter (time permitting), and of course aim to provide feedback for anyone else who submits a review. I'll call it feedback as otherwise I'll be reviewing reviews, and we'll need a 'Review Review Jam' to get the best out of our review review capabilities ![]()
