How does draw_sprite_ext work?

With draw_sprite_ext, you can supply a color to blend with the sprite. My question is, what does GM do on a per-pixel level to that sprite with the color?

...Graphics are not the first thing you need to start a game. I recently read a post about someone who was requesting graphics. The artist asked to see a screenshot or a demo, to match the style.
Here's what he said (paraphrasing)

I don't have a demo yet because I need the graphics to start programming.


What? Last time I checked, you write the game first, then get graphics. In case your game fails, or it doesn't work out for some reason, the artist just wasted time making graphics for you, and NOBODY LIKES WASTED TIME.
Use placeholder graphics first. Once the game is finished, then you should get graphics.

Seriously guys...

I while ago, I wrote a GreaseMonkey script that automatically checked the "Track this message" box on the PM page.
I hope you find it as useful as I did.

Katamari 3d Model

I need a textured 3d model of a Katamari Ball...

In several colors :)

Preferably OBJ with an external texture...but any *common* format that can hold the geometric data as well as texture data is accepted :)


Credit will be given if I manage to finish the project which, no, is NOT a clone.

I needed a Bitmap to Icon DLL for my current project, so I opened up the documentations for the file formats and Notepad++.
