How does draw_sprite_ext work?

21 July 2011 - 08:05 PM

With draw_sprite_ext, you can supply a color to blend with the sprite. My question is, what does GM do on a per-pixel level to that sprite with the color?

Dear people who post in the Graphics section...

27 November 2010 - 03:30 AM

...Graphics are not the first thing you need to start a game. I recently read a post about someone who was requesting graphics. The artist asked to see a screenshot or a demo, to match the style.
Here's what he said (paraphrasing)

I don't have a demo yet because I need the graphics to start programming.

What? Last time I checked, you write the game first, then get graphics. In case your game fails, or it doesn't work out for some reason, the artist just wasted time making graphics for you, and NOBODY LIKES WASTED TIME.
Use placeholder graphics first. Once the game is finished, then you should get graphics.

Seriously guys...

Message Tracker

20 February 2010 - 04:16 AM

I while ago, I wrote a GreaseMonkey script that automatically checked the "Track this message" box on the PM page.
I hope you find it as useful as I did.

It is located right here: Here...

Be warned: this may not work after a layout change, and, this is dirty code.
I provide no support for this.

Katamari 3d Model

24 November 2009 - 03:59 AM

I need a textured 3d model of a Katamari Ball...

In several colors :)

Preferably OBJ with an external texture...but any *common* format that can hold the geometric data as well as texture data is accepted :)

Credit will be given if I manage to finish the project which, no, is NOT a clone.

Bitmap To Icon Dll

02 June 2009 - 02:53 AM

I needed a Bitmap to Icon DLL for my current project, so I opened up the documentations for the file formats and Notepad++.

This zip contains the example, the DLL, and the GML file. Post your comments and suggestions here.

Please give credit!!

This DLL was made possible by uuf6429's DLL Project Manager. I recommend it to any DLL maker.
