Because he can.

It's not like its the worst drug ever, Tobacco (nicotine) is more addictive, alcohol is too (often times).

Anyway, it also isn't illegal in several places.

Though I'd always prefer Java or something like that.
No array size function? SERIOUSLY?

GM's arrays are no how they are handled in any other language. Each element you declare is just another variable to a particular memory address, not in sequence, no declaring of more than 1 element, nothing. They only share one thing in common, they are accessed via an index.

Actually in most languages the addresses are in sequence.

For example, in C, given array 'c' and index 'n', 'c' is just a pointer to the first element in the array. Therefore, c[n] is just a pointer to c+(n*number of bytes datatype takes up [for example, int is a dword (usually 4 bytes)])

...the artist just wasted time making graphics for you, and NOBODY LIKES WASTED TIME.

Some artists just enjoy posting their artwork in the Graphics Forum for other members to discuss. There's plenty of topics like that, that go on forever. Same for lots of topics in Game Design. Members like to write elaborate storylines together.

True, sometimes they never get used in a game. But it's harmless fun.

Yeah, but in those cases, the graphics are often given new life in another game.

That only works sometimes. If he reformatted his HD, he probably can't get it back.
