Topics I've Started

Where's Kimberly Kubus?

01 October 2010 - 07:11 PM

So, I used to have a few of his games. www.kimberlykubus.com is not present, yet I still read that there are even MORE "Johnny" games and other stuff. I want all of the oldies; does anybody have them all in a zip to download or another way to contact him?

Repairing A Gm Executable?

06 July 2008 - 11:50 PM

Hi; I recently had to use a restoration piece of software to recover accidentally deleted GM executables. The files seem to be exactly the same size as before, but none of them have any icon/picture identification. Pehaps a teenie bit wasn't recovered at the end?

Running the executables results in a DOS window, which displays that there isn't enough memory to run the program and it exits.

Note that the restoration software stated the chance of recovery of the files was 'very good' and I recovered the software immediately after I needed them back.

I'm not that hopeful, but any ideas?

Easy Mod Library For "gm"?

01 March 2006 - 01:10 AM

I have the files from the main GM site which allows me to add a MOD song file to a game, but it's rather confusing to me. Are there any other libs that could allow a MOD to be used in game that are easy to do?

Request For Two Backdrops

25 February 2006 - 10:23 PM

- a 'toon' candy-land backdrop [maybe with candy-cane tree-trunks and cotton-candy clouds] for a platformer

- a starry backdrop [not-too crowded; I was thinking of one giving the impression of being in a 'bizarre universe, where anything can happen', so maybe a few backwards question marks and screws in a couple places] for a space shoot' em up

Thanks if anyone considers trying either of these.

Releasing Old Gm Games

24 November 2005 - 02:38 AM

I think it would be a neat idea for various people of the community to upload their favourite old Game Maker games (which aren't available here any longer and could be from 2003, for example). Perhaps to "uploadtemple.com", which is really easy, or some place similar.

Nobody would be responding to the games or leaving feedback; it would just be people who would add a quick description and a link to the game, one right after another.

I'd love to see what old games are out there that can't be found elsewhere. I know that I have some to share as well. I've asked a few moderators if this might be an idea (to have a section set up just for this purpose, perhaps), but haven't heard anything yet.
