It would be cool with we could name user events.
User Event 0 -> Hero Die
I'd imagine you'd just double click it in the event list to name it. This info could then be stored with that object in the .GMX files.

Remove The Lightbox On The Forum.
17 April 2013 - 02:21 AM
Ever since the software update the GMC has an image 'lightbox' built in. This is bad because links that use an image can load in the light box instead of linking correctly, making many posts in old threads with nice image links frustrating to deal with.
This is a pretty unneeded feature here, and I recommend an admin look for a feature switch in the software to turn it off, or use a plugin.
Here's a demo.

Note - It's supposed to link to twitter.
Revamp Team Requests?
11 April 2013 - 10:42 PM
I was wondering if it was possible to revamp team requests with a template guideline like the tutorial forum has now.
Generic stuff like a contact adress, whether or not it's paid (what kind of pay) all in an easy to find header would definitely increase the usablility of the team requsts board, in my opinion.
The rest of the post content would be up to the poster, but at least a few general things should be placed up front and center, so as to not waste peoples time looking for real paid work, or people just looking to donate their time for free.
GM:S 1.2 Shaders
18 January 2013 - 02:46 AM
According to the GMS road map, shaders will be coming soon in the upcoming GMS 1.2 update!
Shaders
Allowing simple shader creation for current Flexible Vertex Formats (FvF), while also allowing access to vertex and pixel shader constants.
I was hoping we could have a discussion leading up to announcement and release about what this means to you and how you plan to use them.
Now from what I've read, the shaders they plan to use (at least announced so far) are called Flexible Vertex Format and a bit of info can be found here. It seems a bit odd to use but straight forward.
Does anyone have any experience with FvF? How do you think shaders will apply to GameMaker Studio and how they will be enabled or defined and used? Has anyone here written shaders? Maybe in HLSL or GLSL? Feel free to discuss.
