Topics I've Started

Happytown 3d

18 March 2009 - 04:08 PM

I finished a quick little minigame. In a small little place where things live, a weird machine falls from the sky and all these weird monsters appear. You must eat your way to the top of the food chain to survive! You can eat anything smaller than you (nothing your size or bigger) and you slowly begin to grow! The bigger you get, the more you can eat until... You can eat the machines that started it all!

Move with W, A, S and D, use the mouse when you are done reading the messages.

Don't worry, its only 2.24 mb, and made with GM7.

Bug fix!! You can now definitely see a difference between your size and the big monster's, and won't end up trying to eat him. :P

Big fix!! Now I have the collisions near perfect, got better textures for the grass, and have better buttons. Also, a "lite" mode you can play if you are having trouble and a secret..

Christmas Candy Shop

15 December 2008 - 02:25 AM

The title says it all. You own a Christmas Candy Shop and have exactly a year to earn a million dollars and bailout the north pole (its in economic trouble) while paying the rent every once in a while, advertizing and hiring workers. Its kind of hard to explain, but its pretty fun. Its really un-polished because I challenged myself to make a game in 24 hours (today is the last day I'll have free time till way after Christmas) so don't complain.

Snowy's Journey

08 December 2008 - 12:21 AM

Snowy's journey is a Christmas game made for Jess Horton's Christmas competition at Zerosoft Forums. Snowy is with Santa but a few presents keep falling. Armed with only snowballs, Snowy sets out on a journey to get the lost presents, contacting Santa by radio. Snowy soon discovers monsters and must kill them while collecting the presents for Santa. You are snowy, controlled by WASD and the arrow keys, I highly suggest listening to Santa because he tells how to play and more! Feel free to ask any questions; just don't spoil the epic story at the end for others.

Variable Bug

13 October 2008 - 11:49 PM

Ok, I have a tower defense game. In the game, you don't call waves but one monster at a time. To call the monster you click on a box, and he comes. I was playing with it and testing and I found a bug- when you call a bunch of monsters at once, one is invincible. It should have 5 health, but I had 10 towers and they couldn't do anything to him. It was weird. I have a variable, mhealth (stands for monster health)   that is set to 5. When the monster gets hit by my tower he loses 1 mhealth. When he has 0 mhealth he dies and leaves money. So  I found a useless peice of code that I took out. It was still the same.. I tired everything I could think of but it still happens. It works fine until you call a bunch of monsters at once (which I know people will do in the game..
So what can I do to stop this from happening? I checked my code and there is nothing that would cause this.

Please Help!
