Is There A Function For This?

15 November 2008 - 02:07 AM

I want to know weather or not there is a GML function for checking to see if the subimage of a sprite has changed, because I really don't want to go through using timers or timer variables.

I am using GM Lite 7.0.

Variable Question...

22 January 2008 - 05:00 AM

Since I have little creativity or patience, I wasn't able to use the manual to find the variable for any object. I'll attempt to explain more clearly...

With position_meeting(x,y,obj), I want to have the object be any object. Would that happen to be 'all,' or is there no variable for this?

Random Trees

13 January 2008 - 07:09 AM

I was staring blankly at the screen plagued with uninspiration and fatigue when I decided the best way to do an action-packed, infinitely replayable ninja platformer is to do random terrain.

This is what I have so far. The reason I put it up here instead of WIP is so you can tell me how I can improve upon that. Most of the time it ends up short, and I would like it a bit taller. Should I just increase the chances of oTree making another oTree upon creation?

Blights

Pretty much, I'm taking requests. I'd consider myself not wonderful, but good at spriting.

If you haven't read the stickies, I won't take your requests. I will know if you haven't read the stickies.

If your requests are something like 1000x500 then no, I won't do it for you. Nobody will.

I will know if you haven't even searched for anything. Believe me, I will.

So, request away.

Truly Sorry.

There was this awesome expansive platformer template filled with all sorts of different animations. I suppose I could do one myself, but not nearly as well as it was done already.

For those who don't recall yet, I'm looking for that humongous template sheet with animations such as flying, walking up stairs, shooting magic up/forward/down, etc...

I know I'm being a nuisance, but I used search.

EDIT: For the sake of awesome, the thread must be resurrected.
