<snip>

If you're pissed off because some silly forum* got hacked, wait until you get bank accounts, real responsibilities, and are the victim of real hacks like the Sony and Steam one. A forum got hacked? Password change. Someone got your CC info through no fault of your own? That's a real reason to be pissed off.

As for me, I'll just shrug the hacker off, change my password, and move on. There's a lot more important things in life than the security of your GMC account details.

* Note: I like the GMC and GM a lot, but in the end a lot of people end up taking it way too seriously. :)

Reason 2) Money. He's specifically stated he sells the information to Runescape RMT's in TV's interview.

I wonder how much money you can make selling Runescape accounts, seeing how ridiculous amounts of Runescape currency sell for a pittance. I'd go for the WoW accounts. :P

I think YoYo's response isn't bad, especially considering that much bigger companies that have actual bank information (Sony and Valve, anyone?) handled the whole hacking thing in a far worse manner than YoYo ever did, and they're far bigger companies.

I think it's wrong to demand a company of 25 or so people the same results of a company with 10 times the employees and 50 times the money.

I'm no expert either, just showing you your own material :)

I see! I was mainly basing my assumption on the programming language claim, more than on mathematical equations I don't really understand, hehe. Thanks for taking the time for explaining this to me. :)

0/0=0 (or more technically, infinity)

0/0 is not infinite, not technically, not actually.

According to Wikipedia, division by zero is negative or positive infinity. Now, I'm no mathematician either, and I tend to avoid these topics as I'm ignorant on the subject, but I'm basing my assumption on this article. Apparently some programming languages also return infinity when you try to divide by zero.

Then again as I've previously mentioned, I'm no expert.

While you're at it, why not just "define" Pi as being 3?

Seriously, these "voodoo math" topics are moronic. I wish the moderators would just close them, instead of attempting to answer them.

Because Pi is something well defined already? You can choose how accurate you want Pi to be. Although infinite, there´s no 'mystery' with Pi as there is with 0/0, where mathematicians just 'meh' and carry on.

In any case, this forum is for discussing math and last time I checked, 0/0 was math. If I had absolute power to delete 'moronic' topics I would start with Off Topic, not with this.
