Isometric Graphic Needed! Is A Paid Job!

22 September 2009 - 03:40 PM

Hi everyone, we are in need of an artist who can create for us our player graphic. Our game is in the isometric view and the player is a dinosaur. The dinosaur needs to look similar to a t-rex, needs to be quiet large, say minimum 200px tall, then you can sort out the width etc... to go with it. Colour needs to be green, and it needs to look scary, if you get what i mean. We need it in 8 directions in isometric view, animated aswell if possible, but, when sending it to me, don't have it as an animated .gif, send it frame by frame if possible.

The style needs to look pixelated, as the rest of the graphics are done as pixel art, so it needs to fit in with them. Below is a list of other animations that we would like, so if you can do them, we would pay more, if not though, don't worry.

Animations

Running - 8 directions
Attacking - 8 directions - if possible, one with the head moving down, looking like it will eat people, another swaying its head, like it is knocking down buildings
Dying - 8 directions

Like i said, this would be paid, we can talk about who much, but it will be paid via paypal

We need these asap, so get back to me asap if you would like to do this job

Thanks

Hi everyone, i am in the process of making an isometric action/adventure game, and i am having some trouble making the player. So i am posting to see if anyone can help me on this.

What is needed:

The player is a dinosaur, this is what i need help with. below i have a picture of what i started, it is just the head, but it isn't finished. But, honestly, i am not sure where to go, as in drawing the body and making the head look more, like a dinosaur. So if anyone can help, please help me

My attempt

Anyway, what i need, the dinosaur, in the 4 isometric directions, size about 100x200, something around that size, so if it is bigger, no matter. it can look how ever you like, aslong as it looks mean etc...

If possible, and someone can animatie it running, that would be brilliant. If animated though, can you send it frame by frame please. if you can't animate it, can you send the file so i can edit it please

Thanks for the help from everyone, can't wait to see the finished products

P.S. if your graphic is used, i can pay via pay pal

In Game Ads

12 March 2009 - 04:12 PM

Hi everyone, i was thinking about ways of selling games, but keeping things cheap for the customers. Obviously, developers want to make money from there games, but at the same time, customers want a great deal.

Well, my idea was, why not make the games free, you can't get any cheaper than that!!!!!

But then, you might ask, how would we, the developers earn our money, well, in game ads, this can bring in alot of money for developers, if the game is even a reasonable hit. This can work though, as everybody loves a freebie, especially if it is a quality one, so more downloads are easy to get, and the more downloads, the more money from advertisment. Also, the beauty of this is, if the game is installed onto the cutomers PC, they don't need to download the game anymore, but the advertisments are still shown, therefore, money is still earned

Tell me what you think of this idea, and if you think it could work, also, how would you think it would best implemented.

Google adsense, other advertising networks, mabey even a flash game advertisers, such as Mochiads or GameJacket, as i am 99% sure there is a DLL where you can import .swf files into GM games, would that work, let me and everyone know

Thanks

Hi everybody, i am designing a new site, and wish to show it to everybody now, as i wish to test it out in different browsers, the website is in very, very early development stages, and at the moment, has no GM content, but that will change within a day or two, as i will be adding my latest game onto there once it is finished

At the moment, it is just the index page, with the link to itself, you will know if the link works if the marquee goes back to the begining

At the moment i want to know how it shows up in different browsers, so if everybody could test it please, in IE6/7, firefox etc..., and just so you know, the website should be centered

Anyways, please do not delete this, i know the website should have GM content before you post, but i want to release this site with my game on, finished all at once, that is why i would like to test the site as it is now

Thanks everybody

What Would You Prefer?

26 April 2008 - 01:12 PM

Hi everyone, me and a friend are thinking of making an RPG game, but we are not sure what view to make the game in, we want to make it 2d for now and so are thinking of just three different views we could use

Top down view - Zelda

Platform - side view

Isometric view

So, my question is, what game view would you prefer, would you rather play a rpg with the graphics top down, or side view?

I myself would prefer a side view, platform rpg, but i want to know what everyone else thinks

Thanks
