Hello. I'm looking for a team of EXPERIENCED programmers, artists, and sound artists. We will be working on a game called "Free 2 Kill"--which is a non-linear game featuring four sections of a town with shops, plunderable houses, hospitals, etc.
You are basically an assassin, killing people for pay--but here's the catch. There's no story! Everything (besides maybe the town) will be randomly created--people's profiles, their strengths, personality, etc.
You will be able to kill people any way you wish. C4 a baby and push him into a crowd of people then explode it. Put a C4 on your target's car, blow it u, and watch as the rubble catches people afire. Push someone into traffic. Shoot a poison dart into a baby, causing them to run away--right into a circle of C4. Herd people into a building that has the outside COATED with explosives--and watch as the building sinks into the ground! There is truly an endless possibility of kills here.
I've laid all my cards down. If you would like to join, please either MSN, AIM, or YIM me.

Free To Kill

Well, Free to Kill is a work-in-progress(we only have a prototype right now), but the premise is that you can kill anyone, anywhere, anyhow. You're in a city, and you have C4 packs, sniper rifles, guns, knives, etc. It's a topdown game. I'll update this later when I'm not so tired.
Protoype A
Controls:
WASD--movement
Left click:shoot
Kill the red dude!
Prototype B
Mirror
Controls:
Same as Prototype A--this time, there is glitchy AI.

Let's be obvious. Assassin games are the best. And I'm proposing one.
This will be topdown, non-linear, 2d action. The premise is that you're an assassin, but you're free to kill anyone you so please. But watch out! People will gang up on you if you kill their friends--every character will have a personality, and each will help their friends--which are randomly assigned. On the technical side, I think the way to do that would be to make a random ID for each object.
You could get missions to kill anyone--since everyone is, essentially, a character. You'd go up to them, maybe stalk them or even snipe them from a rooftop, though I don't know how that would work on a topdown game... Their friends will notice after a while(or, if they are next to the victim, they will immediately act.)
If someone sees you kill a victim, they will act based upon their attributes. A strong person may pick up some stray "weapons", and start chasing after you--or where they think you are! You could even be a target for assassination--paranoia is key. A weak person may run for cover, get help, or call 911.
I've brought all my cards to the table. What do you guys think?

Ultimate Trivia Challenge Online!
29 September 2008 - 04:02 AM
The idea is this: it's a trivia game, yet it's online! I have thought through a few things so far.
1: What about lag!?
I can fix that. You see, this is a unique idea. There is a ten second timer for people to press the button. Once they do, it sends a message to the server telling it when the client pressed the button. This way it's only a few milliseconds off. At the end of the ten seconds, the server finds the one with the smallest time and tells it, "ohai der, you may answer."
2: Too little questions!
Wrong! The Game master(server host) can make his own questions. There are 20 questions, and they must be multiple-choice.
I already have the online engine down(Thanks, e.Barroga!), and all I need is graphics and the actual programming.

Escape Humanity

A game. With physics. Credits to CoderChris for the gmphysics plugin, and a bunch of people on a forum I dwell on for the graphics.

Tutorial is in the game; in fact, it's the first 9 levels!
Enjoy,
