Recording

23 March 2010 - 07:54 PM

I generally recorded sound effects and voiceovers with an old $5 microphone. However, they do not last long, and unfortunately, the shop I used to purchase them from has recently closed down. So, I'm looking for recommendations for a recording microphone from any members who may have more experience than I. What microphones do you guys recommend for a high quality, clear recording? I can work on a budget of up to about $220 at most, but the cheaper the better!

Thanks in advance ^_^

Simple Walking Animation

04 June 2009 - 09:19 PM

Hi!

I'd greatly appreciate it if somebody could do a walking animation for this little guy:

I've tried doing it myself, but to no avail. I just can't get it to look right. So, if anyone would like to try, I'd just like a simple walking animation, just the same size of image and the same colours. Thanks, I appreciate it! (:

Spooky Music Track

22 September 2008 - 07:40 PM

I've made a calm, spooky track that I feel may be suitable for a haunted house setting. I'm not gonna be using it in my game, so I felt that the GMC might as well use it. Here it is:

Details
Length: 2:38
File Size: 3.02 MB
Name: Fading Spirit
Tempo: Mid
Feeling: Spooky, a little tense.

Please post your feedback. You can use it in any freeware game as long as you credit me. We'll do negotiations via PM if you wanna use it in a commercial game.

Sound And Music

08 August 2008 - 11:59 AM

Well, on the Sound And Music forum, if you go there, you may well see several 'Free music track' topics floating around, where people have made a track and ut them there for others to use in their games. There is also a pinned topic 'This is not for showing off your work. Some people may use a free track topic, and letting other people use that track in their game, to get around this. At least, I know that I am guilty of it.

So, what I'm trying to say is, do you think a sort of 'showcase' subforum would be good? Where people could post their music, as long as people can use it in their games? Please discuss this. Thanks for taking the time to read!
