Mavericks Osx Not Supported, Eta On New Build?

23 October 2013 - 08:06 PM

I've already submitted a bug report and it's been fixed in a future build of GM, but I'm wondering when a good ETA would be for the next build with the Mavericks fix? GM Games simply don't work at all on Mavericks. I've got a few agitated customers so any time frame would be great.

Thanks!

Strange Startup Glitch- Anyone Ever Seen This?

08 October 2013 - 10:41 PM

My game launched on Steam today, and a few users have this problem when launching the game:

It's just a weird broken array of texture pages and the game doesn't go further. I am using GM 1.2.1135 and no extra DLLs or extensions.

Steam Overlay Still Not Working For Gms Mac Games

24 September 2013 - 04:49 AM

Apparently this was filed as a bug but marked as Resolved in the Mantis tracker, however Steam Overlays still do not work in the current version of Steam (updated as of five minutes ago to the latest version) or with games used by Game Maker Studio (1.2.1135) for Mac OS only. Is there any way to solve this?

Saving to INI: works fine except for App Store

27 November 2012 - 01:30 PM

So here's something strange. My game opens ini files like so:

ini_open(working_directory+'/Ndata6file.ini');

And then it goes off and saves stuff. This works fine in the standalone version that I'm selling. However, when I uploaded that exact same version to the Mac App Store and released it, I got some complaints that the save feature wasn't working at all, or at least wasn't loading saves.

I have no idea why this isn't working despite both being the exact same build. Is working_directory something I shouldn't be using for Mac versions?

How do updates work on the Mac App Store?

15 October 2012 - 02:20 PM

I'm just curious, how does the update system work for both the Mac App and iOS store? Right now I'm saving all my ini files as working_directory+"SaveData1.ini" but if the stores redownload the game for a patch, then theoretically wouldn't it replace everything in my current app, and thus erasing the save files within?

Just a little paranoid about this before submitting to the App store.
