FREE Concept artist for hire!

18 January 2013 - 05:08 PM

Hi everyone,

My names Clym, i'm a concept artist.

I create visual designs for character/prop/environment, for 3D or 2D games. I can provide rough sketches to full blown rendered pieces. You may want for example, a loading-game screen (to get the player excited for the game he/she is about to play. I can also do illustrations for more vector-based games, however no animations - sorry!

to view my work: http://clymsmith.co.uk/Sketches-Blog

how to submit

In order that I can team up with you on your game project, I will need details of the story and what you would like from me (EXAMPLE: "snow-based world, the game is about a player trying to survive on a crash-landed ice planet and the player needs to find a way to survive. Action/Adventure based game, with puzzles to get the game moving forward. I need character concepts (3-4) and what the planet could look like. I would also like a game loading screen that shows off the main character.")

please note that I will accept projects based on how exciting the idea/story is, rather than how GOOD the actual game is at the moment! I don't need to know how far the game is in the making, however I do need to hear a good idea or story for me to be able to help you.

Here's a piece I recently did for a game project. The idea was mainly about a "dream-like" world on clouds :)/>/>

Concept artist shop (free)

16 September 2011 - 10:48 AM

Hi everyone! i do 2D concept art and design characters as well as backgrounds and i've got a bit of time on my hands at the weekends.

If you have need of:
- character concepts for your games (monsters/zombies/humans/etcetc) to have various design ideas that you can use.
- environment sketches to decide on a visual look for your game.

things I DONT do:
- banners
- backgrounds (for in-game)
- sprites
- modelling reference (side/front/top)

then please get in contact!

some examples of my work (please note that they are illustrated pieces. When designing concepts for you, I will focus on creating new IDEAS rather than focusing on creating really finalised illustrations):

- brief summary of the concept referring to the game: (eg: zombies running around killing the main character, look messy/rough, varied types...fat/thin/half-eaten.)
- what type of game is it for: (eg: zombie hack and slash RPG)
- how many concepts would you like: (eg: 4-8)
- Deadline aim: (eg: sunday 18th Sep) - note: because i'll only be working on weekends, I will get in contact if i feel that this deadline may - be a problem.

Assigning A Var Or Number To A Object

15 April 2009 - 01:39 AM

Ok so here's what I want....

you click on box 1 and you assign the number '1' to the bullet that has just been fired. You then fire 10 more bullets...I want each to have a number depending on which box has been clicked (either 1,2 or 3)

This number will later be used in collisions blah....

if you know the answer please help!

current problem: it will assign the number...but to ALL the bullets instead of the correctly fired one.

HELP! thanks
