The Plunge

The Plunge is a small arcade game I made in a few days. The goal of the game is to go as deep into an endless tunnel, collecting as many gold stones as you can, while avoiding rocks and the tunnel walls. The game is currently functional with the Pointed System (created by Dangerous Dave), and the highscores are hosted there.

Pixel Switch is a small game with 12 levels I created in 2 days. The thing about the game is that you can't jump. Instead you are able to flip the gravity 180 degrees at any time by pressing X. This leads to some interesting and challenging gameplay.

Pixel Runner 2

Pixel Runner 2 is a sequel to one of my older games, Pixel Runner. The original Pixel Runner was made in 3 hours, and only contained 3 colours. However, due to the fact that I only spent 3 hours developing it, it lacked a fair amount of features and gameplay elements. I had a lot of great feedback, and one of the constant things people said was that is needed Highscores, and the difficulty curve needed to be changed - a lot. So in Pixel Runner 2, I try to fix these two problems, as well as add a lot more to the game.

In Pixel Runner 2, you play as a small little character in a tunnel-like room. Objects of all sorts, including walls and planes and odd ships, fly in and through the room constantly, and your goal is to dodge them as best you can, for as long as you can. Currently, there are 2 gameplay modes (easy and hard), along with 4 different enemies (though the enemies vary depending on the game mode), and online highscores so people can compete (as so many people seem to want to).

In the future I also hope to add a small "Adventure" mode, with a very short storyline, and a lengthy level (of platforming and the normal pixel runner dodging).

Anyways, I'm looking for any feedback I can get. Should there be more enemies? Is easy mode too easy or hard? Is hard mode too easy or hard? etc..

Please realize that you need to Save and extract the game before downloading, as it does contain DLLs.

Oh, and, as a note... I will be deleting all of the scores when I release the final version.. Therefore, don't try to go crazy and get really high scores (yet), unless of course you want to just for the fun of it.

GameCOG is a website that provides independent game developers, designers and enthusiasts, an active environment to create and design, develop and discuss their game ideas and projects.

GameCOG is not a website such as YoyoGames, but rather a place for developers to post their project, giving in-depth explanations on how the game will work and function. Developers can use it as a place to store design documents, or get feedback on how their project works and functions, discuss game development methods, and, overall, design their games.

Anyone is welcome to post their projects, whether they are just basic concepts and ideas, or already full in development with demos and screenshots. We want to have an active environment for developers to create and develop their games, not just show them off to the world so people can say "Nice Game , 4/5".

And we of course, run competitions! We've so far run 3 competitions, with prize money up to $40. Currently there are no competitions running, but you can expect some in the near future.

Known Bugs:
- In IE8, if you open a screenshot of a project, it will not be aligned to the center of the screen
- In IE7 (or IE8 run under compatible mode) there are bugs with the navigation, screenshots, and the logging in form.

Agoss is a simplistic abstract shooter in which you control a little ball, out to shoot all the crazy shapes that are flying towards it. The game contains 4 different types of enemies (although they all basically look the same), online highscores, and interesting abstract graphics.
