here's the thing:
I'm making this shooter game (horror/suspance type)
I've got the main engine ready. and already coded the basic enemy A.I.
Got 5 fully working weapons and movement and control is ready as well.
Now I was starting on level design.
but last week, when I was chilling at youtube, I came across a Halo3 multiplayer movie and an idea struck me.
I want to make my game be a single player game, but also have a multyplayer side to it, just like Halo.
So I went on. Started coding some basic online data transfer and dead reckoning parts for the multyplayer and everything is going awesome so far.
But I come across a problem. In a multyplayer game all players need to be diferent in some way so you can see diferences between enemies.
So I added personalized naming, this way you could see players names everytime you roled the mouse over the enemy player.
BUT that looked too plain... so I said "yeah since it's so much based off halo I could use another idea from it. SYMBOLS. this way players would have a simbol for themselves with personalized colors that would apear over their heads at the same time as the names when they got aimed at.
and then I thought, maybe the guys at GMC could be a helpfull hand, they've got some neat ideas. and here I am.
So yeh I made a mockup of an example of what a simbol could look like in the game.

so yeh, the sizes for the simbol should be 20x20 for them to be the right size.
They can be anything, just keep in mind what would you fancy yourself having over your head in a deathmatch
anyway I'll put anyone who helps out in the credits of course.
and I'll be checking this thread everyday, so keep symbols coming in! I need around 20.
it shouldn't take too long to make a nice looking symbol! so give it a try!!
