Make your game as fun as you can with a little work as possible, why have 4 classes, when you can make 1 really fun. Theres nothing stopping you from adding things like that later but for now if you were to focus on making a fun game with the absolute bare minimum you'll have results much faster which means you'll be having people playing your game much faster which means you'll know if your game is fun much faster. Don't add things to make your game fun, take things away and try to make it fun with what you'll have left. Thats when you'll get creative and produce something unique

I only publish art assets, generally ones I did for practice. The amount of effort it takes to make everything look pretty including logos, previews and stuff as well as make the art into sprites in gamemaker rather than just be on a sprite sheet isn't worth the amount of return I get. Art is a hard thing to make for a general audience so I've my stuff more niche so the stuff that's on there is unique. My free stuff has had 600+ downloads and my paid stuff has like 10 which brings my grand profit margin to $6.90. It's likely I'll never be able to claim the money but it's good to see people downloading my assets with the intention to use them and not just because they are free.


I'd like to see more diversity in art assets but I don't think that will happen until there is a better market for art assets. The market is great for free distribution for art but I personally don't think it would be worth making generic assets and flappy bird sprites over doing commission work.

Thanks mate! If there was support for non-cube shapes that would be very cool like a triangular block. This probably would be a hard to achieve with the scripts written how they are but it would be a huge selling point even if it was only defined shapes. I worked out a work around for what I wanted but it would still be fantastic.
