But can you help me out with one other thing...... I need to know the proper way in to switching weapons....and also picking up and switchin weapons. I used variables and its all messed up. When I start up I shouldnt be able to start off with all the weapons and when I Pick up weapons and then switch to a different weapon my camera is on my player... PLEASE HELP AGAIN!!!!!!

so what you need to do is make a copy of your gm file so that all the changes can be undone if need be. so anything that has to do with reloading needs to go and try to put my code in there. if it doesnt work, send me the gm file

Ok I see...I guess the variables would work better. If you can, can you teach me the variable steps today I guess im really trying to get this game done for college.

So what i was trying to do is make sure that when you reload, it subtracts the right amount of ammo from your stash. thats why you need a clip_max variable. so that you can do "clip_max-clip." so if you shot four you have six in your clip. ten minus six equals four. thats how the game will no how much to subtract. i couldnt see why that didnt work for you so im guessing its just not mat...

i wanted to tell you that i read your tutorial a few years ago and now i have a firm grasp on GML and im making an advanced rpg. im still learning tho :)
