you can try these

1) find out your PC name like mine mine is John-PC and enter it and enable your PC to accept don't know if its different i never used a mac
2) kick the computer ok don't kick it but restart it
3) you may need to set up a server for it to conect

Thank you for the tip policejohn99.

I JUST FOUND THE SOLUTION and it was on my Mac settings !!!

I am using Mac OS X Lion, it may be the same solution for other OSX version. You have to go to Preferences - Sharing - then click the Checkbox "Remote Login" ("Session à distance" in French). Then is suddenly and mysteriously started to work.

Okay, I got it fixed.  I'm not sure precisely what the problem was, as I'm fairly certain it was a number of things, but these are the steps I took to resolve the issue:

·Changed Windows computer name from ■■■■■ to Five, as the Mac could locate but not access it before.
·Changed Windows username from ■ back to JAk, just in case.
·Created homegroup on Windows computer (probably not necessary)
·Changed Mac full name to match short name, so both are Abe.
·Enabled file-sharing on Mac (before which, the Mac could see the Windows but not vice versa)
·Located the Mac in the Network section of Windows Explorer and copied the name there instead of the IP address I'd been using.

OK First of all things will not work until the Check Connection button returns OK when pressed on the Preferences -> Mac OS tab...

Yes, but trying only that gives vague and limited feedback.  Not to mention there's no indication that the feedback has been refreshed after you try and fail a second time.  Thanks anyway!

When I had the problem. The only thing that fixed it was changing my full name to a name without spaces. The home name didn't work, nor the user name. I also had to use an IP address to my MAC and not it's network name. Glad to hear you're up and running though!

I tried everything there but it does not work. I see my Mac from the Windows. When I select Create Application, I can even locate the Mac to save the IPA. The it compiles and at the end I get this error message FATAL ERROR: Network error: Connection refused. My Windows can connect to my Mac, why not GM witht the same settings? I changed my Mac name to remove the space, I activated the SMB file sharing for that user. In the Preferences of GM - MacOSX tab, I click Check Mac Connection - always the same message Unable to connect to Mac check host name AND user name (with password) are valid.

What can I do? And why can't I just save my IPA file on my windows and move it to my mac after?

Thank you for your help in advance!
