I understand this is tricky and you may end op with a languange like directors lingo that has too many ways of coding things but i get tired of fixing al my games with every mayor new release of GM.
(as i have made a lot of example games for learning to programm in GM it is a lot of work for me, also to fix all the tutorials...)
EDIT: sorry guys did not see the remarks about making this optional. So go ahead. I had problems with this before too.

Yes.... We decided to give all future modules to master owners as well, making Master collection a really cool bundle.
ok thanks, clear! a cool bundle indeed!
but no opportunity to update from professional to master?

This sounds to me that future export modules are for free once you bought the Masters version. ? Or not ?

There are almost no changes to the GM coding "rules". The fundamentals are exactly the same, and the majority of functions have not changed. The only really big changes that will affect people from GM8 and below is the fact that dynamic code has been removed (no more variable_ functions nor execute_string for example) and the fact that all surface codes should go in the draw event and nowhere else. These things however ARE documented - so, any changes that affect the way a code works should throw an error, which should prompt you to check the manual, which will tell you the correct way to work around it... I know it's not what you want to hear and I understand, but as this is not an upgrade from GM8.1 and is really a separate tool, it's the best there is right now.
Also, your criticism of the Wiki is spot on, but it is being worked on constantly (have a look around as much has changed over the last short while) so bear with us!
Thanks for making that clear. Please see my post not as criticism but as feedback. I really love GM and your work, but ...to be honest the wiki is a bit outdated and it's confusing that it is not clear that it is outdated.
