This is so strange. GM games no longer runs at a high CPU usage. This is so strange. I guess I don't have the problem anymore, and I don't know what I did to fix it.

I use GM6, but also tried GM7. Same issue there. As mentioned earlier this issue is related to all GM games run on my computer. So people that dosen't have GM installed might even experience this.
When I get home from work I can post a dxdiag log, but I doubt anyone can figure anything out from it.

I had the same problem . Let me explain what you have to do .
First of all ,it's a GM Bug . I reported it but no one sayed nothing good .
Try this :
1)Create a new game maker editable (file->new :lol: )
2)Go to the newly created file and merge your game file in this one
3)Run this new game maker file

It should work . Please tell me if it works . Bye

My post before this one also apply to you my friend. I dont only have a problem with my own games, but with ALL games made by gamemaker. Even thoose I download off the forum. So how is that supposed to work with an non editable exe file I downloaded from here? I tried what you said, and it diden't work. Thanks for trying.
