What I plan to do with my next game is just encourage users to "add to homepage", or even make it a requirement as I've seen some games do.

that sounds like a really terrible idea. do you really think people want it on their homepage? if that was the case they would probably fix it themselves

I would actually prefer to also have the video within the exe. I do not like the idea of having to use an external player to play the movie

maybe im completely off topic here, but I suggest you watch the movie Time Cop with jean claude van dam for inspiration. or play the game Time Commando.

Um Ziggy man, No one else except for you can view the Base sprite.gif you have because it's located on your computer. To upload an image you have to use a website like PhotoBucket, FlickR, TinyPic, Image Shack, Snapagogo, or BayImg. The websites in Bold (Snapagogo, and BayImg)
are websites that don't require registration but the max image size is 1600px for Snapagogo and the most you can upload on BayImg is 100MB (More, than you need unless you use HD graphics. However all of the above sites have free registration that is required.

Once you upload your image to one of these websites of your choice all you have to do is copy the direct link to the picture which should be provided and then go to Insert Image

its too much hard work getting a picture up. why cant gmc just have that service?
