I've played other platform games and they all have the mountains or whatever moving in slower than the platform and your player.
Any ideas on how to do this?

I am making a remake of an 80's arcade-style scrolling shooter (for my cert II in IE) and i was wondering if there was a way to change the room_hspeed, possibly in the timeline??

Unknown Variables In GM6

I am creating a simple platform/shooter game with few levels in space fighting spaceships. I had the space levels all working svaed it logged off then logged back on and i tryed it again and up popped a message saying inknown variable?? The variable i am having trouble with is ammo, character_ammo and can_shoot. I have seen all these variables work in various games. Please help me to fix this problem for my game is due into school in just a weeks time
