As topic says, I'm pretty sure that the room transition command transition_steps is dependent on amount of cpu cores.
I use the transition kind 21 (fade to black and then to desired room) and the black fading part seems to take longer on my laptop than on my stationary. Also i set transition_steps = 800
Laptop is single core cpu, stationary is dual core.
At one point, one of the cores on my stationary was not working (since it was too hot) and at that point it was just as slow as the laptop.
Can this be true? I didn't seem to notice any slowing down in any other parts of the game, like in movement speed, so I guess it might have something to with the transition_steps counts cpu cycles and maybe it counts twice as fast with 2 cores?
I couldnt find any documentation about this.
Can anyone confirm this, find a workaround or say anything regarding this?
Or if you think its just because the laptop is a slower computer, then why does it seem like everything else works in the same speed except room transition?
Thanks in advance....
