2D Platformer RPG?

25 November 2011 - 06:32 AM

Does anybody know of a 2D, side scrolling rpg with the following elements: (?)
-Leveling system (endless or capped)
-A vast array of weapons increasing in awesomeness with player's increasing level (Example: level 3 noob can only use "iron short sword," while level 89 pwnmaster can use "infinity dragon blade of greater hellish grandeur")
-Open world style gameplay
-Fantasy, Medieval, Nordic(style) setting
-Tons of main/side quests
-NOT an MMO
-NOT TERRARIA, NOOBZ.

If anyone can name a game that satisfies most/all of the above requirements, i will give you a Godcookie and praise your name for 3 ages.

THIS is what's wrong with Yoyo Games...

Many websites have a review period before a game is accepted and released to the public.

Yoyo Games NEEDS this^
As the popularity of game maker increases, and the age of the average GM user decreases, a system like this ceases to be common sense, and becomes absolutely VITAL.

I hate to say it, but... Yoyo games need to be baby-proofed.

It's not enough to hide behind your nice little home page, and your default "featured games" display at the game search page, it's time to have STANDARDS.
One click on the "most recent" tab shows what kind of website Yoyo Games truly is. So why not make "what it truly is" A good, fun, quality indie game site? Just have a panel of people quickly play a little of each game submitted to make sure it's not just a picture or a tutorial edit...

BREAKFAST REVENGE!

18 March 2011 - 07:34 PM

It's official.
I've released an ALBUM.

The last three songs in the album are from my game "Sqware (DMEO)" that i announced here a few weeks ago.
Progress on the game is going well and I expect to release it in April!
For now you can listen to the music from it at my bandcamp wesite! :)

I've branded myself with the name "Breakfast Revenge" and I've compiled my first album (title album) called, surprisingly, "Breakfast Revenge!"

Also, I've made a Myspace (old and outdated, i know...)

Well, what do you think of my music?

I know it's a lot to take in, since I don't really stick to a single genre... at all... teehee
