I noticed a download for the full version of GM8.1 with the requirment of owning a license for the "windows version" of GM.
By any chance does this include GM7?

Is GM8 lite better than GM7 pro?
12 January 2011 - 07:52 AM
Hi,
I bought GM7 pro in 2009 and studied it for about a month or so. I then 'put it away' and spent close to a year and a half learning 3D animation. Now that I have returned to GM to put what I learned to use in games, I've discovered that I lost the chance to upgrade to GM8 for free ( expired last month ). While the cost for GM8 is mind boggling low for such a great program, it may be quite a long time before I can upgrade.
Does GM8 lite have all the features that are in GM7 pro? Would I be able to sell and distribute games using the lite version?
Any thoughts or opinions on this would be much appriciated.

Need help creating jig-saw puzzle game
10 January 2011 - 06:48 AM
Hi,
I've been working on creating a jig-saw puzzle game, for the most part it's been coming along fairly well. I figured out how to create most of it by studing this forum. I just have yet to figure out a few things.
1. Selection priority: There are 49 pieces in my current puzzle and future puzzles will have 100 or more, so they have to be stacked up on each other. When I select a piece several other pieces are selected too, when this happens there also seems to be a conflict with the variables so that some pieces do not 'let go' when the lmb is released. Is there a way to insure only one piece is selected at a time?
2. Object priority: The game is designed so that when a piece is placed in its aproppriate position, it then becomes locked into place and no longer selectable. I achieved this by destroying the moveable piece and creating a new object with the same sprite at the designated coordinates. The problem is the new object is visable over the moveable pieces. Is there a way to create new objects and have them appear in the background or as lowest priority?
Thanks for your time and help,
Chris

Interactive book/comic

Hi,
I know there are limitations on what GM7 can be used for, is creating an interactive comic within these limitations?
