I'm not trying to start a flame war, but over the past while I've rethinked game maker, and found that it's pointless and stupid, what's the point of making half *'d games that suck and that no one will take the time to download when there are tons of flash games out there?

Second: Come on Yoyo Games, Game maker 8, really? What was that for? That was no different from GM7 which was barely different from GM6.

I think you're a stupid little man.  GameMaker is not just for kids.  It's also for adults who don't want to go to the trouble of setting the whole environment up, and just want to start programming.

I do agree, that most GameMaker

games do suck

.  However, GameMaker is now being targeted at more serious developers, who are more likely to invest more time and money to produce a great game.  Want examples of a good game made with GameMaker?  Try Immortal Defense by rinkuhero.  Also, about the download thing,

  Even so, HTML5 for GameMaker will be coming out soon, so you don't have to download the game to play it.
