Network/Server Administrator and Developer by trade (mostly Microsoft products). Lived in Japan for an extensive period of my life, where I met my wife and where we raised our two children. Currently in the US, although looking forward to moving back to Japan sometime mid-late 2011!
I first experienced GM8 in August 2010 through a local community college which had a "Game Design" course. I used to look down on these, as I figured it was just a tool for little teenage *******s to say "hey, I made a game! I'm awesome!". I've since come to find out that there is MUCH MORE to Game Maker than the drag and drop actions, and so far I'm loving it! Appearances can be deceiving, eh?
