Idea about dynamic map destruction

I have this idea for a long time now, but cant realize even the way it should be done. I made a pic, so you'll get what Im talking about.

The hardest is to check if the part of map can get dynamic, and made it so after. It probably should be done with powerfull library such as extreme physics, maybe the way to do it, is manipulations with polygons. Just imagine how awesome could our games be with this. What do you think?  :smile:

1st. need to make particle systems.
2nd. we just draw system on surface, and made it as a background
3rd. use this background as texture for any model you want!

Hello. I'll tell you about my new little game ...
I created it on the GM 8 PRO, with ODE physics and 3D graphics. The game has a level editor.
