GM supports Spine animations, but not really to the degree that you could have animations as complex as something like Rayman or Ori. It also doesn't have deep optimisation options, so something with lots of large textures and animations is more likely to run into memory issues since you can't as easily manage what's in memory. But it's theoretically all possible. I'd look into games like Blackhole or Orphan to see what GM is capable of.

CurrentSate should presumably also be CurrentState with the extra T. I'd do a find + replace on that before anything else.

I'm not quite sure how that works.....If I see a big drop, are you saying that as long as the maximum and average are still strong, then it's okay?

The higher the frame rate, the lower the amount of time a single frame takes. Therefore super-high frame rates will drop easier. The only true measure of performance is frame time, i.e. how long it actually takes to do everything.


In Topic: Using md5 to check if file was modified

I'd probably introduce some salttoo, otherwise the person can just calculate the md5 of their edited file and alter wherever you're storing the game's md5 of it to match. Of course md5 hasn't been truly secure in years, so it wouldn't be uncrackable regardless, but it'd be far less straightforward.

Looks like you have to register through the Xbox developer program and deal with an API that doesn't have default support in GM.
