In Topic: A Cool Religous Game Idea.

Interesting, but non-LDS are going to have a hard time understanding what you're talking about.
Personally, I don't think making games directly based off of scripture is such a good idea. Unless you're careful to do it right, it'll just be cheesy and lame. Games can be in compliance with religious principles and standards without directly being religious, such as not being very violent, having no bad language or pornography etc.
However, a game based on scriptural battles à la Age of Empires would be pretty neat. But good strategy games are very complicated to make. The sprite work alone would be a killer.
And really, any 'idea' can sound cool. But it's all about the quality of your work and how you actually implement it into a game that counts.
Have you considered what type of game it's going to be? How many hours of gameplay you want to get out of it? Approximate development time? How much work you're really willing to put into it?
You should create a design document and figure out what it is you want to do with your idea. Those kind of questions and many more will need to answered if you ever want your game to be more than just an idea.
Good luck, though.
And by the way, if you want to get in contact with other LDS you better put some kind of message in your signature. Making a topic about it won't garner the best results.

Honestly, how hard can they be to come up with on your own? Just take any noun or pronoun and add Man to the end of it.
I remember closing a similar topic like this -- someone was asking for Mega Man boss names and as usual you get the long random("A-Z noun") + "Man" lists. These kind of topics tend to get a bit crazy.
If you're not going to be serious about suggesting a semi-decent boss design, then please don't bother posting.

Nice site. Not very fancy. Simple, clean layout. A nice color scheme that doesn't insult my eyes. And no annoying gimmicks, like background music or stupid objects that follow the cursor around.
I think the Games page could use one or two screenshots for each game.

Hey, you used my quote. I'm famous!JUMPER : fansite : fan forums :

Old-School platformer with insanely difficult level designs. Not for the faint of heart.

After some deliberation among the moderators, it's been decided to move this topic back to GM Creations.
The confusion took place over the fact that only a demo is available for free download, and WIP is classically the forum where demos belong.
Apologies to Roy for throwing his topic around.
While I'm here I'll post my comments on the game. This is definitely one of, if not the most professional GM game I've ever seen. The quality of this game is simply astounding. And that's just the 3 level demo!
I did encounter one bug, or glitch, with it where the Captain's head got stuck in the ceiling, when I was jumping around, immobilizing me, and I had to restart the level. I suspect it had something to do with hitting the ceiling and Genia's hat raising slightly from his head when you fall. Probably one of those 'one in a million chance' of happening things, but I just thought I'd mention it. If I ever manage recreate it I'll try to get a screenshot for you.
Once again, this game is amazing and a great inspiration. Keep up the stupendous work!

I'm afraid you're terribly mistaken. I've never "owned" Damaged Games, or been associated with it in anyway. I've never made a Hard Hat series either -- I've never even completed or released any game for that matter. I've got absolutely no clue what would make you think that. Perhaps you mistook my name for someone else.Good, but; totally unoriginal.

J Dan already owned "damaged games" so to make "damaged incorperated" is kinda ironic.
He also already made a Hardhat series.
No offense, but; you remind me of a Megaman sprite ripper.
EDIT: Hmm, I played it and I give it a 8.99.999/10.
Great game, but no originality.
