Wow..it's been awhile since anyone's updated this. Anyway, just wanted to say that the browser is awesome! I'm using it to integrate flash files into my game. Took a little while to figure out the working_directory addition that'd let me use files from the folder the executable was in, but that's no big deal.

The entire file was easy to use and understand. Great work! I've seen a few others that were..mind boggling, to say the least. Thanks for keeping it simple.

How do you get the working_directory to work. For example. I have a folder called data. In there is a folder called html. In there is an html page.

Thanks! Great DLL.

Internet explorer or any browser can use the file: schema for acces files on computer so you can do

file:///C:/file.html

Also... It's been a looooong time since i made this thing :P
I think it was the last thing i made in/for GM :P

Is there anyway how to make this work for Gm8 Reg? I've tried maybe I'm tired but I can't seem to figure out as to why it is not working on the newer version. :( Help would be amazing if anyone knows the reason. ~ Thank you in advance!

Yu made a web broser.WOW!
I could never do that.
Heck,I cant make a 3d game.
But it awsome!
Cogratz!
Now you can open any page.

LOL

I tried the dll and it works well.
Thanks, I will be very useful

You welcome

How can i test what the current site is?, so i can make them click something like *New Homepage* or *Bookmark* or something, to save the variable, then last to the goto, and use that saved global variable?

Not possible and i don't have the sources

Credits required?

If you want to....

Hi.
Useful and so easy to use. :GM070:
But something anoys me : it stays in front of every other objects, whatever the depth values... Can somebody help me with this problem ?

Wel... its not a GM object, its external and added to window, all GM stuff keeps on background

Ill be fair and say i dont usually drop comments when i try things out.
But this is by far the best web browser example made by Game Maker that i have ever seen. Its simple, flexible, and it doesnt take a pro to be able to tailor it to your own needs. I applaud Porfirio for his great work.

Yes, TinyWeb was mean to be simple and easy to use, may not have many features but even a newby could use it

Thanks everyone for all good comments

I'm getting Errors XD I exit the game (Dont deleted that WebRelase Thing) but are getting Errors!!!

What kind of errors?

I get an error defining external function when I do tWebIni();

EDIT:
I found the problem. How do I make the window on a window created with GMWW?

Hmm i dont know GMWW, does it uses native widgets then yes, they must have some function to get the window handle and use it instead of window_handle

All I can say is thank you for this dll.

Thank you

Same. I am using it for the project I am making called 2screen. I can't give much info, But I can say it will have a browser.

Good

That's awsome, man. :GM070:  Just what I needed.

Glad you like

you should add an open in a new window command.
everything else is great

Yeah, i know! but the development stopped long time ago and i don't have the sources

This will come in handy for sure. Good job. All though, it reads code the same, alternative way as Internet Explorer. I'm guessing that's because it's based of Internet Explorer.

Yes, it uses InternetExplorer activex so its IE

In the future, software companies will understand that DRM sucks!

I the end, is the paying customer that gets screwed!

I have seen in lots of softwares, paying users using pirate options for get their software working without bother with DRM.

For example, my windows XP  after the years being used and allot of reinstalls, just stopped to allow me to activate by the internet, i could still call the support, but its a pain.
Most of times operators are from other countries and speak badly Portuguese!
So i use a pirate option to activate my legal windows, this sucks!

GM its not just a software, its platform and a tool used to make other software.

Now lets look at some other commercial frameworks..

Look at Qt, recently it got bought by Nokia, but it was a nice little company called Trolltech that created Qt.
Today you can see that they have 6 offices with about 250 peoples working there.

The funny thing is that you can get the whole source code of their tools, frameworks etc here http://qt.gitorious.org/ and still, they sell commercial licensesand get money to keep the company running.

But yeah, its a different product.

Please just keep in mind, nothing is uncrackable, and in the end its the paying user that is prejudiced.

Just my 2 cents
