Been playing games since i was 5. the first of which was super Mario bro.s followed closely by the legend of Zelda and fester's quest. I discovered game maker by accident. I was searching for a level editor for super mario brothers for use with emulators. Been using it since. My first games were basically breakout minus the bricks since i didn't know about instance_destroy() at that time. i didn't really get gml till i followed a gml tut my carl gustafson on how to make a scrolling shooter. I've only released two games at yoyo but i have made many proto types trying to duplicate game systems/features. i think the shift from the old gamemaker.nl site to yoyo games has been for everyone's benefit. I do miss hearing from mark overmars on the glog though and wonder if he's left the community he helped start.
