I'm not sure where this idea was gotten that the game industry is growing faster than general programming, pretty much all areas of everything are growing fast in programming xD.. even if it's true, the gaming industry is currently insanely competitive. I would highly recommend getting a computer science degree instead.

Whoa hey guys, code actually is protected, let's not make any assertions unless otherwise known
I remember one of my teachers at davis talking about a massive lawsuit that was won because someone stole code and the other party was able to prove it was stolen because the people who stole the code were careless enough to leave the symbol table in when compiling, showing that even the variable names in their code were identical.
Now, as usual, there's a matter of will anyone care, and for a game maker game the answer is "no"

I'm pretty sure my platformers are always the hardest game in any individual Jam.

Of course, I don't want to alienate the non-gamers, so I'll probably have "Wimp" difficulty, and "MotG" difficulty.
