Hello comunity!

I'm in a try to design a old fashioned point and clikc adventure game like the ones by Lucas Arts. Problem comes when I have to realize which resolutions where used by games like that so, can someone tell me the proportions for the screen size and characters?

The games I want to emulate are: Monkey Island 1-2, The Day of tentacle, Indiana Jones and the fate of atlantis...

So my backgrounds have to be 320x200?  The ones in the old adventures seem to have so much detail that i dont understand how so low resolution can be the one :s

Yeah maniac mansion and monkey island are 320x200 for sure.

You'd be surprised at how much detail you can fit in that size.

The usual resolution in those days was 320x240, at least on console side. Which is bastardisation of 320x480.

For a similar effect but for your game to display fine in 1920x1080 (full hd), I suggest you go for 480x270.
