I've been researching a lot lately and still have been unable to find much information on basics for doing networking specifically for mobile devices; either for storing data such as user names, information, and in app purchases or simply for connecting players on mobile devices in a turn based or real time game.

Did my reading and have accomplished networking on a local network however I am still very new to it. Is it possible to have mobile devices host if it's two people shooting info back and forth or do I need to create a server myself to house all the data?

I'd like to begin working on a turn based mobile game soon so anyone able to point me in the right direction would be fantastic, if you have any solid tutorials that would help a lot. Again this is for MOBILE only most likely specifically on Android for now.

As long as I know you just have to port forward or use UDPHP to create a server which is globally available for everybody
