YOU ARE A TORPEDO AI is a game where, well, you are a torpedo AI. You must guide the torpedo to its target, avoiding collisions with the obstacles on the way.

 

The game is still under development. The gameplay is pretty much done, but all the assets are still placeholders and I need to make all the levels.

 

Be warned: this game is HARD. I'm still working on the difficulty curve, but believe me when I say all the levels are possible to complete.

Geez. yes it's hard. did you have to combine the narrow labyrinth with the enemy torpedoes!!! Anyway, addictive but when you reach the enemy torpedoes, I managed o get by 2 levels before I raised my hands and surrendered :). is there a break to compensate the boost?

i will definitely change those levels. I didn't know that they were so hard.

 

there is no brake. i really like that the player needs to learn the right time to start boosting and the right time to stop.

you should have narrow corridors before the enemy torpedoes, then wider corridors with the enemies torps, the player will think hey this looks easy, and boom

you should not combine multiple difficulties right off the bat, such as it is the case with the narrow corridors and the enemy torpedoes. or the enemy torpedoes and then going down, in effect having to think "opposite". That particular 2nd enemy torpedo level is interesting combination of skills that demand some training.

you start people off easy, then add a difficulty progressively, then you finish off with multiple type of difficulties. With a few difficult levels in between so it's not boring. I love a challenge yes, but I also like a a break here and there (this is generally speaking, I was not able to get by the second enemy torp level to see how balance your level distribution is)

all in all it's pretty simple game and but very addictive.

changed a few levels. I think now they are still challenging but not so hard as before.

I got through! have space act like ENTER for your menu. I did not try with the gamepad. Good concept. I winner in my opinion.

I really like this game. Just the right learning curve difficulty.

Please add a feature that save what level you're up to.

i'm still not sure about the difficulty curve. I am thinking about adding a few more levels just to teach about basic movement.

 

the game should have saved your progress automatically

not sure what happened.

My bad. It did save progress, though on restarting Level 0 is selected, kind of confused.

 

Some easier levels on the first world would be a good idea.

 

How about a a really massive level at the end of each world.

 

Please keep working on this, I really love it.

You can move the cursor in the world / level select screen, maybe that is not very clear. It is a good idea to make the game remember the last level played.

 

That is my idea. Maybe not really that massive, but they will be bigger / harder.

 

I just need to finish my master's degree (1~2 months) and i'll be able to work on this game full time.

 

I really appreciate your support.

Decided that the first world will be dedicated to teaching the player how to control the torpedo, so all levels that had enemy torpedoes or moving obstacles are now in world 2.
 
Needed 8 new levels. Made 4 today and i have another 2 already planned.

Brilliantly addictive, I love it. I just wanted to check it out, then realized I had been playing for over half an hour! Incredibly simple and easy to learn, but yet managed to pull it off in just a way you don't even realize you're playing.

 

Really good game.
