The Adventures of Cubey is my first GameMaker game and my first game in general,

so I hope you like it!

  • Game Description: A short 2D platformer (sorry if that isn't informative enough but that's really the whole game  )

Pretty good for a first game, better than my earlier platformers. You've already got some of the basic platformer mechanics down. But there's no enemies that you can kill by stomping on them or attacking them in any way (think Goombas from Mario).

The volume is too low, and as far as I know there's no other sound effects besides the jump.

However, the graphics are simplistic, I'm not a fan of the gray background as it's the default color (at least in GM8), and since your levels are named as if they were worlds (1-2, 2-1, 2-2, 3-1), some graphical theme (like grass, desert) or gameplay gimmicks to differentiate them would be nice.

Yes I know I'm a noob to the GMC, but I've at least been using Game Maker since 2010. :P

I'm still using GM 8.0 though...
