Russian Roulette [NES-like]

Hello everyone! Over the last year I decided to do something original be lazy and make yet another Russian Roulette simulator.

2.82 MB

GM5.0 (yikes!)

Remember that thing I was working on a year and two months ago? No? Well, I finally finished it. Changes include:

-original music
-spiffy title screen
-more expressions/animations
-demo screen
-characters blink
-other things I don't want to spoil

Watch it here:

This is actually pretty good, from a music and graphics perspective.

I'm impressed with your original music.  It has a pleasant Slavic / Russian theme, and it's played with a nice retro-sounding style.  The graphics are pretty sweet too.  The spinning bullet chamber animation is good.  And the character art is good.  The characters' appearance seems more "LA-style gangsta", rather than Russian, but that doesn't matter.

The gameplay isn't that great though.  There's just not much to it.  Kinda like drawing a card to see who wins.  There's no opportunity for strategy.  So it's not very exciting.

If you decide to expand on this, maybe you could set up a system where the player can select the number of rounds in the chamber, for more points.  And allow players to quit at any time, keeping their points.  Or try another round.

I played it, and liked it. Rep up.

Composition is good, graphics are good; Overall just a really solid game.

Good retro vibes!

I am pretty certain it's a reference to The Deer Hunter.

There's a scene where Walken and DeNiro's characters are forced to play russian roulette.
